the Harbor Island Pavilion
Lighthouses, an installation commissioned by the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway and the National Park Service, was designed to bring foot traffic to the NPS Harbor Island Pavilion in the winter months in downtown Boston.
We worked with perennial goodgood collaborators Namita Dharia and Matthew Shanley, and Kawandeep Virdee and Dan Sternof-Beyer of New American Public Art to realize the idea.
It was composed of three main elements:
- a sculptural form (architecture)
- an analogue interactive projection (walkway)
- a generative animation (screens)
We were graced with a performance by Yuka Takahashi at the Lighthouse’s opening.
